Boehm, age 76, of Glendive, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 3, 2003 at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Pastor Robert Canen officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements. Ralph was born on March 25, 1926 in Mandan, North Dakota, the son of Ralph and Veronica (Schmidt) Boehm. He lived with his family in Mandan until moving to Glendive at a young age. He attended Glendive schools. Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Army in February of 1946. He served post World War II in the military police as part of the occupational forces in Germany. Following his discharge in February of 1947, Ralph returned to Glendive where he worked as a machinist for the Northern Pacific Railroad, Montana Dakota Utilities and the Glendive School District. Ralph enjoyed fishing, agate hunting and attending ball games. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donny. Ralph is survived by numerous cousins, including Kathleen Kennedy and her husband Joe of Billings, Montana, Sister Moireen Kelly of Bismarck, North Dakota, John J. Kelly of St. Paul, Minnesota, Gary Flakker and his wife Stephany of Glendive, and Charles Flakker and his wife Jocelyn of Mandan, North Dakota; his uncle, Chris Boehm and his wife Hilda of Tacoma, Washington.
