Birth: Jul. 23, 1957 Death: Dec. 1, 2014 Huron Beadle County South Dakota, USA DuWayne Pudwill, age 57, of Huron, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at his home. His funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 6th, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Katie Jerabek, Rev. Rick Senner and Rev. Marlin Wangsness, officiating. Burial will in the Green Mound Cemetery at Leola at a later date. DuWayne Edward Pudwill was born July 23, 1957, to Donald and Glenda (Huber) Pudwill at Mobridge. He graduated from Leola High School, and continued his education at the Hanson Mechanical School at Fargo, North Dakota. On January 31, 1976, DuWayne married Rhonda Dosch at Leola. They made their home at Leola and Selby. On January 2, 1992, the family moved to Huron. He was a mechanic and the oil station manager for seven years at the Leola Cooperative. DuWayne was a member of the Leola Volunteer Fire Department. He served as a full time firefighter for 31 years, serving 15 years with the Aberdeen Fire Department and then 16 years with Huron Fire Department. DuWayne retired as Captain of the Huron Fire Department. His hobbies and interests were car and mechanics restoration, house restoration, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Chet Salzer.
