Birth: Nov. 29, 1886 Clifton Monroe County Wisconsin, USA Death: Sep. 1, 1973 Marshfield Wood County Wisconsin, USA Raymond Finucane was born in 1886 in Clifton, Wisconsin. He married Johanna Adler of Marshfield in 1912. Her father was Marshfield real estate and he built and managed the Adler Theatre in downtown Marshfield. At age 22, Ray bought into his brother-in-laws firm, Felker Brothers Manufacturing Company. He was Secretary/Treasurer of the company and Superintendent of Factory Operations for 67 years. As a civic leader, Ray was interested in industry and banking. He was officer in the Central State Bank from its beginning in 1937, was President for 25 years, and later Chairman of the Board. He was an alderman for years, served on the Water and Light for 30 years. He belonged to the Elks and was active in Rotary and Knights of Columbus. As a token of his interest he donated and installed a fountain in Wildwood Park at the edge of town. The statute of the Lord standing beside the highway at the south entrance was also donated by Ray. His first residence was built on 4th street, the second on Oak Street. He later built a 20 foot windmill in the back yard to pump water. Ray and Johanna had 4 children, Winnifred (John Jeffrey), Patrick (Jean Kinsman), Shirley (Sam Chaney), and Robert (Victoria Pasin). They had 10 grandchildren.
