GLENDIVE MONTANA: Margaretha "Margaret or Marge" B. Pulse, age 83, of Glendive, Montana, died at her home on Friday, January 8, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday January 14, 2010, in the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Margaret was born March 15, 1926 in their country home near Linton, North Dakota, the daughter of Johann and Christina (Lindemann) Bender. She was educated at Wionna Country School 17 miles West of Linton. Margaret married Homer R. Pulse on June 15, 1952 in Ekalaka, Montana. Following their marriage the couple moved to Glendive where she has made her home since.
Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Glendive Medical Center Auxiliary and was a American Cancer Society volunteer. She worked for the Glendive Medical Center and owned the Sunshine Market in Glendive for several years. Margaret loved birds and her favorite flowers were sunflowers. She enjoyed collecting rocks, tumble weeds knick-knacks and going to garage sales. Margaret especially enjoyed quilting with the church ladies.
Margaret's most rewarding labor throughout her life consisted of providing unconditional love, care and support for 56 years to her special daughter, Kaye.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Homer on September 9, 2008. She is also preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters; Edward, Gottlieb, Johanna, George, Frederick,
Phillip, Johones Bender, Katherine Middleton, Emma Green and Karoline Buckles.
Survivors include two sons; Russell Pulse and his wife Pam of Vancouver, Washington and Kelly R. Pulse and his wife Virginia of Glendive, one daughter Kaye V. Pulse also of Glendive and five grandchildren; Tammy and her husband Jeremy Clark, Shawn Z. Pulse and his wife Kelly D. Pulse, Buck K. Pulse, Adam R. Pulse and Jason Pulse and his fiancé Lesley; four great grandchildren; Zachary, Skyler, Jaden and Rachael.
