Amelia was the wife of the late Nick J. Leingang. She was born on October 20, 1916 in Crosby, North Dakota to Michael and Florentina (Schafer) Mosbrucker. Her parents were Germans who emigrated from Russia, now known as the Ukraine. Amelia was a long time resident of Spokane, Washington and a member of Mary Queen Parish. Beloved mother of her four children, Shirley Barton (Bob) of Des Moines, WA., Dorothy Thate (Howard) of Grand Forks, B.C., Canada, Kathleen Shook of Spokane, WA., and Robert J. Leingang (Barbara) of Dillingham, Alaska. She was known to her 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren as "Granny Emy". Amelia was an avid gardener and enthusiatic cook. Bingo, pinochle and various card games brought great pleasure to her. A special joy of Amelia's was her footed china cup collection started by her son in 1953. She shared this passion with her family and friends and was a recipient of a winning ribbon for her teacup display at the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup, WA. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, WA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 28th at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park. Graveside Burial and reception to follow. Donations may be made to Highline Hospice Home Care Services at 12844 Military Road S., Tukwila, WA. 98198. Rest in peace Granny!
