Birth: Feb. 18, 1904 Death: Dec. 15, 1994 AUSTIN -- Mr. Edward P. Schottler, 90, of 700 First Drive N.W., died Thursday morning (Dec. 15, 1994) at Stacyville Nursing Home in Stacyville, Iowa. He was born Feb. 18, 1904, in Mower County. On Sept. 26, 1934, he married Barbara Lucia "Lucy" Schumacher in Rose Creek. The couple farmed for many years in the Austin area. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul of Somerset, Wis., Wayne of Helena, Mont., and Daniel of Oronoco; four daughters, Charlotte Winslow of Mankato, Minn., Dolores Motschenbacher of Burnsville, Minn., Janet McDonald of Barrington, Ill., and Lorraine Stanek of Gordon, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and George, both of Austin; and a sister, Sister Mellitus Schottler of Rochester. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two sisters and a brother. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church here, with the Rev. Virgil Duellman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin, where there will be a 6 p.m. wake service, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. Family links: Children: Daniel J.
