Birth: Dec. 26, 1908 Death: Oct. 12, 2004 OBITUARY- Mary Irene Moen, age 95, of Austin, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home, where she was a resident. She was born Dec. 26, 1908, near Lyle, Minn., to John and Delma (Sisson) Schumacher. She lived most of her life in Mower County. Mary attended Lyle school and went to work for Hormel Foods, where she was employed for 13 years until she became a full-time homemaker. She married Alvin Horgen in 1935. They later divorced. Mary married Bennie Moen on Feb. 2, 1946. Bennie died on Dec. 24, 1993. Mary entered St. Mark's Lutheran Home on March 9, 1995. A member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Mary enjoyed cooking. Survivors include her son, Robert (Judy) Horgen of Shakopee; three grandchildren, Robin (Todd) Rutherford of Shakopee and Sandra (Tod) Longhenry of Eagle Lake; Robert Horgen of St. Paul; six great-grandchildren, Alexis and James Rutherford, Zachary, Jonah, Myriah and Isaiah Longhenry. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents and seven siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Roberta Flood officiating. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery Austin Mower County Minnesota, USA Created by: K.
