He was the son of Anton and Katherine (Dauenhauerg) Doll. They boarded ship at Bremen, Germany and landed at Montréal, Canada, Port of entry was Sault St. Marie, Michigan via Canadian Pacific Railroad on November 19, 1906. They settled in the Timber, North Dakota area shortly thereafter. Christian was one of five children and became a citizen of the United States in 1930. He married Marian Vogel, daughter of Jacob and Anna Marie (Gerhardt) Vogel, on November 23, 1926 at Fallon, North Dakota. Marian was born August 2, 1906, northwest of Mandan. They homesteaded 10 miles east of Flasher. Mrs. Doll died May 23, 1950 at age 43. Christian retired and moved to Flasher, North Dakota, in November 1963. He served as Morton County Assessor several years. He died in June 3, 1973 while fishing at Flin Flon, Canada.
