Christman, 75, of Caldwell died Monday evening (Feb. 23, 2004) at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Noble County to Harley and Matilda Arnold Blake. She had owned and operated Evelyn's Beauty Shop in Caldwell for many years and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She is survived by one son, Thomas A. Davis of Caldwell; one daughter, Sandi K. (Robert) Stapleton of Huffman, Texas; one stepson, Gerald Christman of Woodsfield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Christman, on March 6, 1992; and her parents. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Dale Tornes officiating. Burial is in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell. Christian Scripture services are at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
