Mabel Jowske, 66, of Bowdle, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Bowdle Hospital. Funeral services willbe 11 a.m. Friday, April 04, 2014, from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowdle, with Pastor Patrick Hahn leading the service. Organist will be Eileen Eisenbeisz and the congregation will sing "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and "How Geart Thou Art." Usher will be Ruben Brown. Mabel was born December 15, 1947, to Alvina (Preszler) and Harold Tippie in Hardin, Montana. She attended school in Hardin and worked various jobs until she married Joe O'Brien in 1965. She continued to live in Montana until 1977. Mabel later married Michael Jowske in 1982 and lived in Goodells, Michigan, until his death in 1992. Mabel moved to Bowdle, owned and operated the bar "Attitudes" until going to work for the Bowdle Hospital. She worked for the hospital for many years until she quit due to health reasons. Mabel met and shared her life with Rodney Frankfurth until his death in 2004. Mabel loved spending time with family and special friends in Bowdle. She liked crossword puzzles, reading books, computer games. cooking and baking, which she would share with everyone. Mabel also enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and was on the Bowdle pool league for many years. Mabel is survived by her mother, Alvina of Aberdeen; three sons, Jim (Daniela) O'Brien of Fountain, Colorado, Dwain (Jennifer) Jensen of Circle, Montana, Sean (Mandy) Jensen of Billings, Montana; one daughter, Billie Jo (Kevin) Pew of Glendive, Montana; one brother, LeRoy (Edna) Tippie of Marietta, Minnesota; ten grandchildrem, three great grandchildren, and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold, on March 21, 1993; her husband, Michael; and special friend Rodney.
