Hoeffner, 88, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. He was born on August 27, 1921, in Hurnville, Texas, to the late August Hoeffner and Mary Moser Hoeffner. On August 2, 2008, he married Patricia Sutton in Wichita Falls. Leon was the Chief Engineer for KAUZ TV and KMOC Radio. He was a member of Grace Church in Wichita Falls and served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He is survived by his wife, Pat Hoeffner of Wichita Falls; daughter, Carolyn Seroka and husband Dave of Grapevine; stepson, Roger Sanford and wife Becky of Electra; stepdaughter, Patricia Johnson and husband Bill of Dallas; three sisters, Lydia Owen, Betty Nevins and Irene Morton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lib Hoeffner in 2006; and a brother, Arthur Hoeffner. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009, at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Reggie Coe and Pastor Tom Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Herb Moller, Harry Allison, Rupert Rodriguez, Keith Sanderson, Calvin Clarke and Bill Gowan.
