The Rev. Jeff Giles will officiate. She died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Sanford Health Center at Sioux Falls. Betty Yvonne Klipfel, daughter of Fred G. and Lydia (Bender) Klipfel was born October 29, 1937 at Ashley, ND. She grew up in that area, graduating from Ashley High School. She then went on to attend and graduate from Aberdeen School of Business. Throughout her career, she worked as a secretary and accounts manager for Mobil Oil and Trojan Seed. She also served as a secretary for Zion Lutheran Church. She had lived in Ashley, Aberdeen, Minneapolis, Omaha, Watertown and Sioux Falls. Betty had a lifetime passion for playing the piano. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and visiting relatives. She was always a very loving mother of her two boys. She was active in Lutheran church ladies organizations. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Erin) Finger of Harlingen, Texas and David (Madlyn) Finger of Honolulu, Hawaii, four sisters, Gertrude (Ervin) Schumacher of Watertown, SD, Bernice Gehring of Lodi, California, Erna Scherle of Santa Maria, California and Darlene (Elroy) Mund of Bismarck and four grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Brandon and Alyssa.
