Kiva Court died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 1996, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria County. Born Dec. 21, 1914, in Mount Pulaski to Truman Frederich and Cora Mae Slocum Herter, she married William Irvin Perdun on Jan. 9, 1940, in Peoria. He died Feb. 4, 1976. One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Jerry E. of Peoria; two daughters, Bettyann Schneider of West Peoria and Patricia Fields of Deer Creek; one brother,Truman "Bud" Herter of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was a home health aide. She was a member of Unity Church of Peoria. She was a member of Creve Coeur Chapter 946 of the Order of Eastern Star and its Grandmas Club. She was a former member of St. Cecelia's Senior Citizens Club and St. Mark's Senior Citizens Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Unity Church of Peoria. The Rev. Linda Foreman will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial, with an Order of Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour before services at the church.
