Janet Kaduce, 67, of Windom, formerly of Mountain Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Village, Mountain Lake.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LaCanne Family Funeral Home, Windom, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church, Windom.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church, Windom, with the Rev. Stephen Norby and the Rev. Terry Frovik officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery.

Janet Elaine Kaduce was born on May 23, 1941, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to the late Ted and Verneen (Dorman) French. She was baptized at an early age at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake and later confirmed in that same church. Janet received her education in the Mountain Lake Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1959.
Janet married Dale Lange in 1960. Later this marriage was dissolved. For over thirty-five years, Janet worked as a Certified Nurse Aide at Eventide in Mountain Lake and the Good Samaritan Village where she was very devoted to those in her care. She retired just two years ago. On November 30, 1986, she was united in marriage to Edward Kaduce at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. They made their home in Mountain Lake until moving to Windom just one year ago in November of 2007. In May of this year, Janet was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma. She courageously fought this third battle with cancer until Saturday morning, December 6th, 2008, when the Lord called her home at the Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mountain Lake at the age of 67 years.
Janet was a current member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom and a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. She also was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies in Mt. Lake. In 2007, she was named an honorary chairperson for the Relay for Life in Cottonwood County. Her enjoyments were many and included, camping, gardening, embroidering, visiting with the residents of Eventide, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her husband, Edward Kaduce of Windom; one daughter, Eva Borer (Steve) of Bingham Lake; three step-daughters, Nancy (roger) Hodson; Karmon Kaduce; and Julie(Charles) Hedges; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Vyonne Jones of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; brother-in-law, Wally Franz of Lenexa, KS; and several other relatives and friends.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra Lange; one sister, Betty Franz; and one brother-in-law, Robert Jones; step-daughter, Sandy Ferguson.
