Born June 15, 1916, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Lewis G. and Daisy (Hoffman) Shaffer. Also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Wonder, in 2001, and three brothers: Lewis, Richard and Howard. Survived by children, Robert, married to Victoria Miles, York; Mary Ann Todorich, Latrobe; and Jane L., married to John Hockensmith, Johnstown; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and sister, Daisy Shaffer, New York, N.Y. Garnet was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren and retired as a nurse at Memorial Medical Center. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., West Wills, 921 Menoher Blvd., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
