Birth: Sep. 13, 1922 Eureka McPherson County South Dakota, USA Death: May 26, 2015 Yakima County Washington, USA Parents: John Lapp Emma (Bender) Lapp Joined the Navy in Feb. 1943. His basic training was at Farragut, ID; then he went to Radio School at Univ. of CO; then to the Navy Armed Guard in LA, graduating as a Radioman, 3c. He went all over the S. Pacific serving on oil tankers, ammunition and cargo ships and served as a Radioman, Flagman and gunner aboard those ships, and encountered many perilous situations. He was honorably discharged in Mar. 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lorentina Bogert and Esther Kauzlarich.
