DELAVAN - Carolyn "Corky" Temple, 71, of Delavan passed away at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Delavan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Davis Mortuary in Delavan. Cremation will be accorded. Private family burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan at a later date.

Carolyn "Corky" Temple, 71, of Delavan, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria. She was born May 10, 1942, in Mason City to Urban and Flora Mae Garrison Gunterman. She married Richard Temple on Feb. 11, 1961, in Delavan, and he survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Leah (Jeff) Johnson, Jody (Brian) Burrell, and Caren (Todd) Chambers, all of Delavan; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Jim (Betty) Gunterman of Schaumburg, Larry (Nancy) Gunterman of Lincoln, and Mike (Stephenie) of Delavan; and her beloved dog, Lilly. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Donna Jean. Corky was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delavan and its Rotary and prayer chain, member of Delavan Women's Club, Tazewell County Home Extension, and a member of Bunko Club. She was a hostess for the annual "Temple Cook-off." Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, at First Presbyterian Church in Delavan. The Rev. Paul Kucera will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Private family burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Davis Mortuary in Delavan. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or TAPS in Pekin.
