Birth: Aug. 1, 1915 Death: Jun. 27, 1991 Urban John Gunterman, 75, of Delavan, a retired mechanic, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 1991 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Woolsey Funeral Home, Delavan, the Rev. Jill Johnson-Scott officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery, Delavan, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Gunterman was born August 1, 1915, at Chandlerville, IL, a son of John B. and Ruby E. Duly Gunterman. He married Flora Mae Garrison on October 9, 1940 in New London, MO. She died December 20, 1981. Survivors include three sons, Michael D., Delavan; Larry G., Pekin; and James U., Lombard; one daughter, Carolyn Temple, Delavan; one sister, Ayvonne Close, New Holland; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. One daughter, one brother, one sister and one grandson preceded him in death. Mr. Gunterman was a mechanic for 20 years with R.A. Cullinan & Sons, Tremont. He was a member of Peoria Local 627 of International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Easton, IL.
