Birth: Jan. 27, 1928 Pekin Tazewell County Illinois, USA Death: Jun. 15, 1999 Pekin Tazewell County Illinois, USA PEKIN -- Mary Katherine Brees, 71, of 1210 S. 10th St. died at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Pekin Hospital. Born Jan. 27, 1928, in Pekin to Harry and Beulah Lacock Pollman, she married Elmer E. Brees on Oct. 1, 1944, in Pekin. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Victoria Coon of Pekin; one son, Gerald of Manito; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death. She was a ward clerk at Peoria State Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pekin, where a memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Bob Scott will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded. Noel-Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church building fund.
