FLORY Funeral services for Dorothea E. Flory, 90, Baldwin City, were Monday at St. John's United Methodist Church of Christ, Worden. Mrs. Flory died July 25, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born April 23, 1912, at Worden, the daughter of William and Louisa (Young) Schwarz. She attended school in the Globe community. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Worden. She married Arley Flory on Sept. 9, 1938, at Fairview, Mo. They lived south of Lawrence. They moved to Vintage Park, Baldwin City, in 2001. Survivors include her husband, Arley; one son, Dennis Flory, Lawrence; one daughter, Darlene Ann Bard, Olathe; a sister, Erna Holmes, Baldwin City; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurses Association or St. John's United Church of Christ and sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, PO Box 1260, Lawrence, KS 66044.
