Helm was killed late Wednesday near Mount Shasta and two persons were hurt when his automobile overturned on a curve in Highway 99. Helm's wife, Eva, suffered fractures and other injuries. Rudolph Helm, 47, of California, a brother of Gust Helm, was hurt less seriously the Associated Press reported. Helm worked for an outdoor advertising company here. The Helms had left Seattle early Wednesday morning. They expected to have Thanksgiving dinner with a brother, Adolph Helm, who lives near Sacramento. Police said the Helm car turned over several times and scrapped off several posts. Helm was born in Cathay, N.D. He came to Seattle in 1942 from Ashley, N.D. Surviving besides his wife, are three daughters. Mrs. Ruth Failor, Bellingham; Mrs. Christine Anderson, Seattle, and Mrs. Katherine Koth, Maple Valley; five sons, Jacob, Kilmer, Ervin, Walter and Donald Helm, all of Seattle; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There are also six brothers and six sisters none living in Seattle.
