Date: Sept. 30, 1993 Obit Page William Steinhauer Sept. 22, 1993 William Paul Steinhauer, 78, Elizabethtown, Pa., and formerly of Dallas, died Wednesday at Hershey Medical CenterBorn in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late William F. and Lottie (Searfoss) Steinhauer. He and his wife Louise (Rupp) Steinhauer celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on June 21. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Shavertown, Pa. He retired in 1972 from Galland, Steinhauer & Repa Inc. Insure Agency, where he was former president. He was a member of the George M. Dallas Lodge No. 531; F&AM in Dallas; the Irem Temple in Wilkes-Barre; the Dieu Le Veut Commandery, No. 45, Knights Templar in Wilkes-Barre; and the Shekinah Royal Arch, Chapter No. 182 in Wilkes-Barre. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, William R. Steinhauer of Springfield, Ga., James R. Steinhauer of Halifax, Pa., and Ross R. Steinhauer of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 196 North Main Street, Shavertown, with Pastor Harold R. Baer Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Cemetery in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1715, 196 N. Main St., Shavertown, Pa., 18708, or charity of choice.
