Before that he had worked at his brother-in-law's grocery business in Galena. Believe it or not, there was a second Otto J Alexander born in Jan 1894. Our Otto's obituary helped to clearly establish this fact. The other one was born in Lebanon, IL on 23 Jan 1894 (WW1 & 2 draft) and died Jun 1973 in East Peoria, IL (SS Death Index matched to the birthdate).
