Hulda Guthmiller, 88, Bismarck, died October 9, 2010, at a Bismarck hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck, with Rev. Thomas R. Marcis, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Service where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Hulda Morlock was born on August 30, 1922, in Petersville Township northwest of Pettibone, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Amelia (Wetzel) Morlock. She was raised and attended rural school near Pettibone. Hulda married Adolph Guthmiller on November 9, 1943, at Petersville Lutheran Church near Pettibone. They farmed north of Pettibone until 1960 when they moved to the Patterson Ranch in Sterling, ND. In 1963, they moved to Bismarck, ND. She was employed at Baptist Home until 1982 and was a home daycare provider for many years.
She enjoyed visiting with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She also enjoyed embroidery, gardening, cooking, playing cards, music and dancing. She was very active in the church and LWML.
Hulda is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Walter Leno, Colleen Baker, and Renae and Gerard Volk, all of Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Doris Guthmiller of Bismarck; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsa Nerby of Sabin, MN, and Agnes Thomas of Milbank, SD; two brothers, Gustav Morlock of Minot, ND, and Armin and Dorene Morlock of Bismarck; a very special niece, Gloria Dolllinger; and a very special friend, Erna Leno.
