BODY OF SECOND VICTIM OF PLANE CRASH FOUND
The body of the second of two men drowned when the small plane in which they were riding crashed into the Ohio River Monday, was recovered at 2:15 p.m. yesterday. The body was identified as that of Michael D. Knight, 22, of 303 N. 32nd, pilot of the plane he had rented a short time before the crash. It was located by Horace Stewart, Elizabeth, Ind., who was assisting the Coast Guard search by using a grappling hook from a small fishing boat. The Coast Guard recovered the body of Carl. E. Stanfield, 23, Broadview Hotel, a passenger in the plane, a few hours after the accident, which occurred near the Indiana shore opposite Fincastle Beach, 14 miles from Louisville. Knight was a Navy veteran of World War II. He learned to fly under the GI Bill of Rights after leaving the military service. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Patricia Knight, 21; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knight, and two sisters, Miss Colleen Knight and Mrs. Robert Friedrich. His only brother, Frank Knight Jr., was killed in a plane crash in World War II. Funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at J. B. Ratterman & Sons and at 9 o'clock at St. Columba. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

KNIGHT – Michael Donald, age 22 years, suddenly Monday, August 14, 1950, at 10 a.m.; residence, 303 N. 32nd St. Devoted husband of Mrs. Patricia Silliman Knight; beloved son of Frank J. and Isabelle Greenwell Knight; brother of Miss Colleen Knight and Mrs. Robert Friedrich, Shively, Ky. Michael Donald is at the J. B. Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 2114 W. Market St., where services will be conducted Thursday morning at 8:30 and from St. Columba Church at 9 o'clock. Interment St. Louis Cemetery. He was a member of Shawnee Post, Number 193, American Legion. Members of the Holy Name Society will meet at the funeral home this Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock to recite the Rosary.
