She was formerly employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Co., was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Ladies Club and Rosary Makers in Louisville and served as secretary of Sellersburg/Speed Food Pantry for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Ernstberger Hauswald; her husband, Bill Thomas; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Mack and Martha Jane Hauswald; and a brother, Charles F. Hauswald. Survivors include a brother, M. James Hauswald of Corydon, and two sisters, Barbara J. Freeman of Louisville, Ky., and Marjorie H. Warner of Rockton, Ill. Funeral Mass: Monday, Dec. 14, at St. Paul Catholic Church with entombment at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Arrangements: Garr Funeral Service in Sellersburg.
