WALTER J. FRIEDMAN, 77, a retired employee in the air conditioning and heating department of George Washington University, died of congestive heart failure May 7 at his home in Falls Church. Mr. Friedman was born in Wellsville, Ohio. He served in the Army in World War II and then owned and operated a heating and air conditioning business in Steubenville, Ohio. In 1961, he moved to the Washington area and went to work for Griffith's ... About 1967, he joined the maintenance staff at George Washington University. He retired in 1976. Survivors include his wife, Madge K. Friedman of Falls Church; one daughter, Marcia S. Fioramonti of Arlington, and two grandchildren
