Rita Gehlhausen
Rita Gehlhausen, 55, of Evansville passed away at 3 pm, Monday, January 7, 2013 at home.
Rita was born September 9, 1957 in Evansville the daughter of Eugene and Helen (Schentrup) Brickner. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rita was a devoted wife and homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Tim Gehlhausen of Evansville, sons, Matthew Gehlhausen (Jill) and Mark Gehlhausen (Mindy), all of Evansville, sisters, Ann Carter and Jane Small, both of Evansville and grandchildren, Hieronymus, Zackeria, Maddox, Wade, Juliette, Malachi and Makayla. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Patrick Brickner.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 Green River Rd., Evansville with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville and again from 9 am until time of Mass at 10 am, Friday at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3101 N Green River Rd., Evansville, IN 47715.
