Birth: Mar. 11, 1953 Bloomington McLean County Illinois, USA Death: Nov. 17, 2011 Bloomington McLean County Illinois, USA LeROY — Alice Marie Gentry, 58, LeRoy, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 17, 2011) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Victory Christian Center, Farmer City. The Rev. Scott Millis will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Christian Center, Farmer City, or Community Cancer Center, Normal. Mrs. Gentry was born March 11, 1953, in Bloomington, daughter of Warren and Helen Meador Calhoun. She married James Edward "Ed" Gentry on March 3, 1979, in Farmer City. He survives in LeRoy. Also surviving are one son, Matthew E. Gentry, LeRoy; three daughters, Christine M. (Ron) Kuebrich, Jerseyville; and Teresa L. Gentry and Emily S. (Israel) Aguilar, both of LeRoy; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Steve (Sandy) Calhoun, Tolono; Phil (Salle) Calhoun, Deer Creek; and David (Becky) Calhoun, Tremont; and four sisters, Beverly Sommer and Jean (Gary) Schmidt, both of Heyworth; Pat Hart, Farmer City; and Marcia Jandura, Heyworth. She was preceded in death by her parents. Alice was a member of the Victory Christian Center, Farmer City. She was a giving person and took nothing in return.
