He was married to Elfriede, whose maiden name I don't know, nor the place of her birth but I believe it was a village somewhere near Heidelberg. When I talk to my cousin, Edith, next time, I'll try to get these particulars from her. Alois had both a daughter, Edith, born, I believe, April 2, 1947? Not sure of the exact date. However, Alois had a son named Klaus who was born after Edith, both born in Germany. And Alois emigrated to Toronto in the mid-50's (my Dad followed in November 1955, I believe - I didn't indicate that in the suggestions to go with his name. Sorry. My dad is the only Emil Hirsch on the site, I believe, though.
