Bieser, Arthur Louis Sr.

Arthur Louis Bieser Sr., 89, of University Park and formerly of East Greenwich, R.I. died Jan. 28, 2012.
Mr. Bieser was born in Belleville, Ill. and was a retired U.S. Navy Commander who served during World War II. He worked as an auditor for the Department of the Navy from the 1960's to the early 1990's. After moving to Florida, he did tax work for H&R Block as an Enrolled Agent to Practice before the I.R.S.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1943 from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge #24 in Belleville, Ill. During his time in East Greenwich, R.I., he was an avid sailor in Narragansett Bay. He was a member of the Varnum Continentals and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Upon moving to Florida, he became active in the Sahib Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Sarasota and served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church.
Mr. Bieser was predeceased by Irvina, his wife of 50 years.
He is survived by son, Arthur L., Jr. (Juli Marie) of Houston, Texas; and grandson, Christopher.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church at 5900 North Lockwood Ridge Road Sarasota, FL 34243. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26 th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207 is coordinating arrangements.
