He was born November 14, 1953 in Evansville, Indiana. Steven was owner of M & R Tile and Custom Stone Works. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a member of the Stoplight City Bass Club, Redman, Evansville Gun Club, and supporter of Ducks Unlimited. Steven was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Steven is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan (Loehr) Memmer; daughter, Christine (Reed) Barnhart (Ty); son, Bryan Memmer (Melissa); parents, Gilbert and Charlotte Memmer; sister, Cynthia Halbig (Michael); sister-in-law, Diane Wells (Kevin); grandchildren, Kendall and Carson Reed, Dylan Memmer, Andrew Barnhart and soon to arrive Colton Memmer; nieces and nephews, Jamie Wells, Mandy Patterson, Jason, Brandon, and Tanner Halbig. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Father Joe Ziliak, with entombment at St. John's Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either Oncology Hematology Associates or Ducks Unlimited.
