Elva Marie Heft, 89, of 47569 State Route 145, Lewisville, Ohio died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at her home.
She was born at Lewisville, Ohio on December 2, 1921 a daughter of the late William and Laura Neuhart Hehr.
She was a homemaker, caregiver and dairy farmer. Elva was a very faithful member of the Trinity United Church of Christ near Lewisville, Ohio where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women's Guild and choir. She was also a former organist at the former Middle Church near Lewisville, Ohio. Elva was also a member of the Ruritan Club, Rebekah Lodge, a former 4-H advisor, Happy Hearts Singers and Homemakers Club.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, and preparing meals for her family every Sunday.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Heft on January 11, 1997.
Surviving are four daughters, Evelyn L. (Frank Jr.) Christman of Lewisville, Ohio; Judy F. (Don) Hercher of Sycamore Valley, Ohio; Susan L. (Dave) Blair of Lewisville, Ohio; Carol E. (Greg) Christy of Lewisville, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Jeff (Rania) Christman; Troy Christman; Laurie (Darren) Bright; Carrie Christman; Missy (Greg) Alleman; Shelly (Erin) Curtis; Tiffany (Shane) English; Adam Blair; Anna Blair; Megan (Jason) Stalder; Erica (Chris) Caldwell; fourteen great grandchildren Tate, Bradi, Darion, Laurissa, Derrick, Seth, Chad, Lane, Cala, Corby, Tice, Kyra, Jacey, Jayda, and two great grandchildren on the way.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Karen Binford and Erin Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.
