Krebs Jr., Festus John 84, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Lyngblomsten Care Center, St. Paul, MN. Dear father of Twink (E. Joseph) LaFave, St. Paul, MN, Festus J. Krebs, III, MD, Overland Park, KS, Dorothy (William) McDowell Aurora, IL and Martin (Elizabeth) Krebs, Olathe, KS, dear grandfather of sixteen. Preceded in death by parents Festus J. Krebs, Sr. & Marion Alice (Heffernan) Krebs, and his beloved daughter, Carol Marie Krebs. Born January 31, 1926, in Saint Louis, MO, Festus graduated from St. Louis University High School, 1943, and St. Louis University, 1949, with a bachelor's degree in history. He is a United States veteran and proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, 1944-1946. Festus also went to the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, on the GI bill while serving overseas. After the war, Festus was a partner in Jade Pools, a swimming pool business, and later went on to be the president of the St. Louis Marketing association. He married Virginia Klohr in 1953, and later was founder of F.J. Krebs & Assoc. Advertising and Public Relations, in 1968, until retiring in 1999. Festus served on the finance council for Immacolata Catholic Church, and on the boards ofSt. Louis U. High and Chaminade College Prep. Festus was also an avid photographer, and enjoyed traveling the world in his retirement, but some of his best times were spent playing scrabble and going out to lunch with his best friends. Services: Visitation 9:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, followed by funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement of Rome Church, 1508 Bopp Rd, Des Peres, MO. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Festus will be buried with full military honors.
