Obituary of Emil Graf

The funeral for Emil Graf, 72, Streeter, will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in United Church of Christ, Streeter, with the Revs. Scott Curfman and John Millikan officiating. Burial will be in Streeter Cemetery, Streeter. Haut Funeral Home, Gackle. is in charge of arrangements. He died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1998 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Mr. Graf was born March 6, 1921 on the family farm near Streeter, the son of John and Margaret (Oberlander) Graf. He grew up and attended elementary school near Streeter, where he farmed with his brother, Adam. He married Esther Roesler Oct. 6, 1944, in Streeter. They farmed southwest of Streeter until 1956, when they moved into Streeter. He owned and operated the former Bridgeman-Russel Milk Co. in Streeter and drove school bus for 30 years. He retired in 1986. He was a member of United Church of Christ, church board, Eagles Club, Streeter Fire Department and town board.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Binkley, Ashland City Tenn.; two granddaughters; and four sisters, Rosella Dewald, Jamestown, Ottilia Schumaker, Medina, Margaret Graf, Bismarck, and Caroline Martin, Streeter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, hist stepmother, three brothers and two sisters.
