Hammer, 76, passed away peacefully on Oct. 8, 2012, with her loving family at her side. She was born Sept. 1, 1936 in Barberton to Rancy and Hazel (Wise) Wharton, and was a resident of Doylestown for more than 50 years. Beverly retired from Danner Press with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, loved to share Christmas with her family and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph A.; a daughter, Margaret Hammer; sons, Scott and Andrew Hammer; sisters, Naomi and Shelly; she is survived by sons, Mark Hammer of Doylestown, John (Alycea) Hammer of Norton, Timothy Hammer of Doylestown; grandchildren, Travis, Justin, Nicole, Franncesca, Anthony, Erica, Kyle and Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rancy (Audrey) Wharton of Doylestown. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Crossroads Hospice for their help and care of Beverly. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown 44230. Father Robert Stein is celebrant. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
