The newspaper articles mention four year old Bernard, and and eighteen month baby were in the accident while the two older children were at home. You can read the newspaper write up on her father's page. Another paper also wrote a story. The Miller Press, Miller, South Dakota, Thursday, September 19, 1935, Vol 54 No.45, p1 c1 is more lengthy and graphic in detail of the accident. But they did have her name as "Donna Jean"; and "Tuesday afternoon, a double funeral was held for the two accident victims. Services were from the Luteran Church of this city, and were in charge of Rev. Leikauff of Orient. Burial was made in the Bohemian cemetery in Hyde County. By a sad coincidence, the little child was buried on her sixth birthday."
