Thelma E. Miller
Thelma E. (McPherson) Miller, 92, of Parkersburg went to be with the Lord Feb. 20, 2009, from Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born in Parkersburg, Sept. 3, 1916, a daughter of the late Harry McPherson and Tennie (Pfalzgraf) McPherson. She was a member of The Evangelical Methodist Church and worked as a Rosie Riveter, for the Wood County School System and retired from the Public Debt.
She is survived by her two sons, David Miller and wife, Diana, of Parkersburg and William "Bill" Miller and wife, Annie, of Colorado; two brothers, Eugene and Ted McPherson, both of Washington, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer P. Miller; two sisters, Sylesta McPherson and Alma Bird; and three brothers, Ralph, Harry Jr. and Carl McPherson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
