Rose Beckler, 91, Mandan, died February 18, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant.
Burial will be at the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Catholic Daughter Rosary at 6:30 pm and Parish Vigil at 6:45 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Rose was born on August 28, 1921 in Morton County to John and Veronica (Steckler) Fleck. She married Ted Beckler, Sr. on November 6, 1939 in St. Anthony. They lived on the Beckler Homestead in Fallon after their marriage before moving to Mandan in 1946. Rose worked for Blue Ribbon Hatchery and cleaned houses.
Being of strong faith Rose was always there to help anyone. She was a mother to many different families. She was an excellent cook and her kitchen was always open. She loved playing pinochle, fishing, gardening and dancing especially the polka.
Rose will be deeply missed by sons, Leonard (Veronica), Tony (Jean) and Ted, Jr. (Linda) all of Mandan; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Fisher, Bismarck; brother, Clemens (Annie) Fleck, Bismarck and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ted in 1996.
