Christensen, 96 of Marshfield died on Sunday, October 28, 2012 under the loving care of Wells Nature View and Ministry Home Hospice.Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home with Fr. James Logan officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.Time of visitations will be from 10am on Wednesday until service time at Rembs Funeral Home.Germaine was born on November 7, 1915 in Marshfield to John and Nora (Herman) Schmitt. She was a 1933 graduate of McKinley High School in Marshfield. Her first marriage was to Clifford Blaisdell on June 1, 1940 and he died in 1947. She then was united in marriage to George W. Christensen on May 30, 1958 in Janesville. George died on April 13, 2012.Germaine worked in Wausau, Madison and Milwaukee for the federal government and the Marshfield Clinic in the Dermatology Department.She is survived by two daughters Sharon Blaisdell (Charles) Morrill of Marshfield and Barbara Blaisdell (Jeris) Backus of Davenport, FL; four grandchildren, LeeAnn Beltran, Gina Ratsch, Daniel (LeeAnn) Morrill and Jerra Backus and great grandchildren.
