  [S927] Obituary. Berreth, Frieda 95 April 14, 1917 Oct. 26, 2012 Frieda Berreth was born on April 14, 1917 to Christian and Carolina Dietrich in Hazelton, N.D. She passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Oct. 26, 2012 in West Linn. Frieda was a 64-year resident of Beavercreek and was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Berreth; her beloved daughter, Audrey Jean Hein; her son-in-law, Reverend Robert R. Brandenburg; as well as her sisters and brothers, Ida, Caroline, Gertha, Henry "Hank," Herman, Oscar, Edward and Lorraine. Frieda was a past President of the Henrici Club and had volunteered for Loaves and Fishes. Frieda loved oil painting, gardening, playing Bunco and Yahtzee, dancing to German music and spending time with her devoted cousin, Virginia Hitchrick. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene J. Brandenburg of Oregon City, Elaine C. Long (Melvin) of Conroe, Texas, and Sharon E. Spelts (George) of Grand Ronde; her grandchildren, Carol F. Brandenburg-Smith (Luke Smith) of Fremont, Calif., Douglas E. Brandenburg (Mary) of Lincoln City, Eileen M. Rieke (Stephen) of College Station, Texas, Reverend Franz "Fritz" J. Brandenburg (Marilyn) of St. Joseph, Mich., Matthew Long (Kim) of The Woodlands, Texas, Michael "Shane" Long (Ailene) of The Woodlands, Texas, and Martin Long of Katy, Texas, Leah J. Bibeau (David) of Salem, Sidney O. Spelts (Robyn) of Beaverton and Robert D. Warke (Chantal) of Oregon City. She also leaves 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins and many loving friends and extended family members. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 290 West Gloucester, Gladstone, OR at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. She will be interred at the Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City in a private ceremony. The family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers who took such great care of Frieda.
