Beebe Jr. passed away peacefully from respiratory failure on Jan. 16, 2013, surrounded by loving family.He is survived by his loving wife, Violet Miller-Beebe; and stepchildren, Sherry Miller, Karen and James Mercer, Tina Campbell and Scott Miller; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Surviving him from his first marriage of 41 years to Bernice Guthmiller is George C. Beebe III and Pamela Beebe; and three grandchildren.After school, George joined the Navy where he served on aircraft carriers until he retired in 1972. He then worked for the Vancouver School District as grounds mechanic until he retired in 1997. George loved the out-of-doors and car racing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving spirit. He will be greatly missed by all.
