Freda will be buried in the Emery Community Cemetery in Emery, South Dakota beside her parents, and sisters, Emma and Violet. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Freda was born on December 17, 1908 in Emery, South Dakota to Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Wahl. She graduated from Emery High School in 1927 and then moved to Yankton in 1946 where she worked as a bookkeeper until she retired in 1967. Freda accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 16 years, was baptized, and became a member of Emery Baptist Church. After coming to Yankton, she became a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Church. Special thanks to Sister James Nursing Home for their tender care of Freda and especially Diane Korus, Rev. Oliver and Genevieve Omanson, and Barb Stevens who were some of her special friends and provided Freda with special care during her twilight years. Freda was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.
