On Jul 11, 1959, he married Mary Ann Kaple, who survives in Leipsic.Also surviving are four sons: Kenneth (Julie), Ottawa, Mark (Sabine), Elida; Ronald (Lynn), McComb and Kevin (Rebekah), Archidona, Ecuador; two daughters: Cynthia Deitering, Ottawa, and Kathleen (Kevin) Miller, Bowling Green; three brothers: Elmer (Sandi), Piqua, John (Sherry), Sidney, and Daniel, Maumee; a sister, Mary Lee Laudick, Upper Sandusky; three sisters-in-law: Jean Deitering and Margie Deitering, both Dayton and Shirley Deitering, Baltimore; and twenty-six grandchildren, a step-grandson and a great-granddaughter.Deceased are four brothers: Roger, Herman, William and Leo Jr.; a brother-in-law, Jerry Laudick; and a sister-in-law, Janice Deitering.He had worked at Sylvania Electric. In 1960, he started Deitering Landscaping. He was an US Army veteran serving during Peace Time. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, and on the Rural Life Board, Holy Aid Society; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Fr. Ronald R. Warnimont Assembly #3268, Ottawa Knight, Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Leipsic and the Amvets. His years of dreaming and hardwork came to fruition in 2010 when he helped form WJTA, Holy Family Catholic Radio, 88.9.A Mass of Christian burial will be at the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating.
