Hotz, 66, retired restaurant proprietor here, died at 5 a.m. today in his home after a long illness. Born in Delphos, Oct. 28, 1888, Mr. Hotz was married June 24, 1919 to Dorothy E. Lause, who survives. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Joseph Society and the Sacred Heart League and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are two sons, Maj. Carl F., U.S. Army, Memphis, Tenn., and Robert, Delphos; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Birkmeier, Delphos; Mrs. Rita Rezick, St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Dorothy Hellkamp, Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren, and a brother, Edmund D. Hotz, Delphos. Services will be in St. John's Catholic Church, the time to be announced later. Arrangements are in charge of the Kolkmeyer Funeral Home.
