Irene was Christian's half sister.It appears that Christian's mother was Augustine (aka Christina) and had the maiden name of either Sommonger (per Judy) or Simminger (per my research).There are two marriage records for Christian. He first married Catherine Vollmer Mohr (a widow). Though I did not find a death record, I did find her burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery (Section 18, Lot 39, Grave 6). The census of 1920 took place in early January, and Joseph is listed with the Fichter's. Christian remarried in Aug., 1920.
