Carole Sue Zimmer Linnemann, 78 of Edgewood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. She was a graduate of Villa Madonna Academy, St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing and Thomas More College. She was a retired Registered Nurse working in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood and former Dorm Nurse at Thomas More College. She was a 47 Year Member of St. Pius X Church, member of the choir and a devout catholic. She was blessed to have visited the Vatican and Lourdes. She was a 50 year member of Summit Hills Country Club and avid golfer. Former volunteer Southern Hills Life Squad and volunteer at Pike Street Clinic. She was the devoted daughter of the late Bert and Golda Zimmer. Beloved wife of 57 years to Donald H. Linnemann,loving mother of sons, Greg (Shannon) of Burlington, Gary (Jan) of Batavia, Kenneth of Erlanger, Patrick (Melinda) of New Richmond, Andy (Tina) of Edgewood and the late Timothy Linnemann (1967); daughters, Mary Gayle (Dave) Barbeau of Maineville, OH and Jill Anne (Terry) Shumate of Philadelphia; dear sister of Robert (Linda) Zimmer of Hampstead, NC and the late Warren (Cyndie) Zimmer of Hampstead, NC; dear Sister in-law of Jane (Al) Luessen of Erlanger; 23 grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation 4-6 PM and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 6 PM Friday, October 28 all at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Rd., Edgewood. Interment, Mother of God Cemetery, Covington. Memorials are suggested to Pike Street Clinic, 343 Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011, Be-Concerned, 714 Washington St. Covington, KY 41011 or St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017.
