Albert Griffith
Albert ?Bill? Griffith, age 65, of Aurora died Sunday, August 6, 2000 at his home.
Private family services. Public visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
OBITUARY: ALBERT GRIFFITH
Albert ?Bill? Griffith, the son of Andrew and Gertrude (Neuhart) Griffith, was born on a farm at Carleton, Nebraska on August 17, 1934 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 6, 2000, at the age of 65 years, 11 month and 19 days.
He grew up in Aurora. ?Bill? attended school in Aurora and graduated from High School in Carleton in 1952. He was drafted into the Army, where he served a tour in Korea.
On June 19, 1955, he was united in marriage to Shirley Miller at Carleton. They lived in Bruning, Nebraska, until 1962, when they moved to the farm northwest of Aurora. Shirley passed away in April 1999.
?Bill? enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked his computer and doing gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
He is survived by one son, Wayne and his wife Jana of Aurora, three daughters, Cindy Hansen and her husband Mike of Omaha, Cheri Fierstein and her husband Dennis of Grand Island, and Lori Ziska and her husband Dave of Grand Island; 8 grandchildren; one brother, Eugene ?Mert? Griffith and his wife Gwen of Marquette; three sisters, Genene Willis and her husband Robert of Aurora, Barbara Weems and her husband Marvin of Texas and Linda Marquardt and her husband Don of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
