Birth: Jul. 9, 1930 Death: Apr. 26, 2009 TSGT, US AIR FORCE KOREA, VIETNAM Lawrence Rund - Titusville - Lawrence H. "Ron" Rund, age 78, died on Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was born on July 9, 1930, in Hume, Illinois, the son of Wilbert and Helen (Schafer) Rund. In 1948, he enlisted into the United States Air Force, and completed a 20 year career, retiring in 1968. He was a Security Communications Officer at NASA for 13 years before retiring again in 1981. "Ron" was a member of the American Legion Post # 1, in Titusville for many years. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Rund and a daughter, Teresa Abramson. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle McEachern (Scott); four sons, Christopher (the late Sherry Rund), Robert (Joyce Rund), Lawrence (Patricia Rund), and Ronald Rund; sister, Shirley Camp; brothers, Joseph , Valentine and Robert; two granddaughters and four grandsons. He is also survived by his wife, Betty Freeman Rund; two sons, John Douglas Freeman (Della), and Thomas B. Freeman (Vicki); two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his best friend, Lloyd Behrns and Gloria Voelpel, and his faithful companion, dog Bootu.
