Hume - Funeral services for Wilbert P. Rund, 88, of Hume will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hume, the Rev. Charles Mulcrome officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, near Pesotum.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Joines Funeral Home, Newman. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rund died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 1, 1987) at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Newman.
He was born July 18, 1898, at Villa Grove, a son of Joseph and Eva Olig Rund. He married Veronica Vetter in 1923. She died in 1928. He married Helena Schaifer on Sept 26, 1929. She died in 1985.
Survivors include eight sons, Lawrence Rund of Florida, Francis Rund of Rockford, Raymond Rund and John Rund, both of Hume, Joseph Rund of Mississippi, Valentine Rund of California, Robert Rund of Metcalf and Don Rund of Newman; three daughters, Alice Cunningham and Shirley Blankenbaker, both of Paris, and Pauline Ochs of Tuscola; 40 grandchildren; a brother George Rund of Villa Grove; and two Sisters, Helen Jones of California and Margaret Boudreau of Kankakee.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and two sons.
Mr. Rund was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Michael's Cathollic Church, Hume.
